What do I need to calculate my birth chart?

You need your birth date, birth time and birth place. The date alone gives your Sun sign and your BaZi year, month and day pillars; the time adds your Moon sign, rising sign and Hour Pillar; the place fixes your house positions and lets us correct clock time to true solar time.

Is the birth chart calculator free?

Yes, calculating your charts on NPCC is completely free and unlimited. Coins are only used for generated written interpretations, not for the calculations themselves.

What if I don't know my birth time?

You still get a meaningful chart, but not a complete one. Without a birth time your rising sign, houses and BaZi Hour Pillar cannot be placed — roughly a quarter of the information is missing. The Birth Hour Finder can estimate your likely two-hour window from a few life questions.
