Almanac questions
What do "Favourable" and "Avoid" mean in the almanac?
Favourable lists the activities that suit the day's energy, and Avoid lists the ones best postponed. They are traditional categories — marriage, moving, signing, opening a business, travel, burial — assigned from the day's stem-and-branch combination, not general good or bad luck.
What is the clash animal of the day?
The clash animal is the zodiac sign directly opposite the day's branch, six positions away on the twelve-year cycle. People born in that year tend to find the day friction-prone, so it is usually avoided for weddings, launches and contracts.
Does the almanac apply to everyone the same way?
No — the almanac describes the day's general quality, which is the same for everyone, while your own chart decides whether that day actually favours you. A day marked broadly auspicious can still clash with your BaZi, so the two are meant to be read together.
