Hexagram 11: Peace (Tai, 泰)
Hexagram 11 represents a period of harmony and flourishing where internal and external conditions align to create a sense of effortless progress.
Overview
Peace (Tai, 泰) depicts a state of ideal balance where the small and the great, or the inner and outer, work in perfect concert. It suggests that your efforts are currently supported by the flow of circumstances. In the context of a life simulation, it appears as though the underlying scripts are aligned to favor your advancement rather than presenting obstacles.
The trigram of Heaven (Ch'ien) rests below the trigram of Earth (K'un). Typically, Earth would be below Heaven, but here they are inverted. This inversion signifies a unique convergence where the masculine force rises and the feminine force settles, creating a creative cycle that nourishes growth and mutual understanding.
When this hexagram appears in a reading, it confirms that you are in a window of opportunity. It invites you to expand your reach and build foundations. Pay attention to changing lines, as they often indicate the specific stage of this harmony—whether you are entering the peak of this cycle or approaching a transition where you must prepare for the eventual return of a more restrictive phase.
