Gui Jia Gui · Heaven Net Stretching High
癸加癸 · 天網高張
Stem Combinations · Inauspicious pattern
Gui over Gui (Gui Jia Gui, 癸加癸) is an intense structural restriction in the life simulation where external pressures converge, signaling a time to pause all proactive maneuvers.
Overview
Gui over Gui (Gui Jia Gui, 癸加癸) manifests as the Heaven Net Stretching High (Tian Wang Gao Zhang, 天網高張). It represents a phase where the environment feels uniquely confining, as if invisible barriers have been erected around your current path. This is not necessarily a sign of failure, but rather a cosmic signal that the momentum you desire is currently obstructed by factors beyond your immediate control.
In the context of the life simulation, this pattern acts as a forced period of stillness. When this configuration appears, attempting to force a breakthrough often results in compounding the difficulty. Instead, the most effective approach is to cease all aggressive initiatives and prioritize the preservation of personal resources and mental clarity until the obstructive energy shifts.

In different situations
Questioning Career Advancement
When this pattern appears regarding a promotion or job change, it advises against taking action. It is a time to consolidate current positions rather than seeking new territory.
Personal Development and Growth
Ideal for spiritual practice, deep research, or technical skill acquisition where solitude and inward focus are rewarded over public expansion.
Natal Chart Influence
For those with this in their natal chart, it suggests a personality type that thrives on defensive strategies and long-term, quiet accumulation of power.
In everyday life
In the grand design of the life simulation, this pattern functions like an enforced maintenance window. Just as a developer might lock a system to update its underlying protocols, this phase is intended for internal recalibration rather than outward output.
Tip
When the net is high, stop struggling and focus on building your internal foundation instead.
