Hexagram 16: Enthusiasm (Yu, 豫)
This hexagram describes a period of harmony and alignment where readiness and foresight allow you to flow through life with ease.
Overview
Enthusiasm (Yu, 豫) represents a state of resonance where your internal state matches the external circumstances. It is a time when obstacles seem to melt away because you have prepared thoroughly, allowing for movement and progress. This state is not about chaotic excitement, but a deep, steady confidence that comes from being in sync with the rhythm of existence.
It is composed of Thunder above the Earth. The image is one of movement stirring the ground, signaling that energy is awakening and spreading. Just as the first rumblings of spring revitalize the soil, your current situation holds the potential for growth. It suggests that when the underlying code of your life simulation is supportive, your intentions manifest effortlessly.
When this appears in a reading, it suggests you are in a window of opportunity. It is a call to be decisive and organized. Changing lines indicate where you might be leaning too heavily on comfort or waiting too long to act; move with the current rather than fighting it, but ensure your preparations are solid.
