Star 8, the White Wealth Star (Ba Bai Zuo Fu, 八白左輔), is the Earth star of steady money, property and long-term security in Flying Star Feng Shui (Xuan Kong Fei Xing, 玄空飛星).
Overview
In Flying Star Feng Shui, nine numbered stars move through the nine sectors of a home each year. Star 8 is the white Earth star, and it is the one most people hope to find in a busy part of their home. It stands for solid, accumulating wealth: savings that grow, property that holds its value and income that arrives on a reliable rhythm rather than in lucky bursts.
From 2004 to 2023, Star 8 ruled as the timely star of its era, which is why older feng shui books treat it as the king of wealth. Since 2024 the era has passed to Star 9, so Star 8 is now a retreating star. It is still clearly auspicious, but its strength is gentler and works best when the sector is active, tidy and supported. In the life simulation, think of it as a slow-building savings buff rather than a jackpot.
