In the year of the Fire Goat, Snake natives sit level with the Jupiter General and ride the Travelling Horse: movement generates wealth and momentum flows
In 2027, the year of the Fire Goat, Snake natives enjoy an overall fortune defined by one word: smooth. It is a year that favours movement over stillness, where taking the initiative brings rewards. This year the Snake forms a level relationship with the Jupiter General, meaning that between your native earthly branch and the annual branch of the Goat there is no direct clash, punishment or harm, but no harmony either. It is a relatively stable year that nonetheless requires you to push things along yourself. The Jupiter General neither helps nor hinders you, and whether things get done depends entirely on whether you are willing to move. On the inauspicious side, the Hanging Guest brings mourning attire, hospital visits and sudden frights, so pay close attention to the health of elders at home and to household affairs. The Heavenly Dog governs bumps and injuries while travelling, so high-risk activities such as hiking, rock climbing and water sports call for extra caution, and you should make sure to buy full insurance before heading out. On the auspicious side the stars are notably bright. The Eight Seats governs status and authority, bringing promotion and opportunities to be seen, so this year you must not hide your talents. The Travelling Horse governs change, travel, career shifts and relocation. Movement brings gain, stillness breeds frustration, and this is the force that pushes you out of your comfort zone. 8 White (Wealth) is moreover the number one wealth star currently in power, governing earned income, property purchase, promotion and joyful occasions. It represents solid, tangible financial opportunities. Especially worth mentioning is that your native sector, the Southeast, is precisely where 8 White (Wealth) flies to this year, which means the wealth star lands right at your own door. As long as you are willing to plan and to act, earned income, property purchase and major projects all have a chance of coming to fruition this year.
The key mindset in a year of sitting level with the Jupiter General is to start things yourself. The Jupiter General will not push you forward, nor will it walk the road for you. If you do not move, it stays still; if you move, it flows smoothly. So this year, actively apply for projects, actively speak up to seek promotion, and actively arrange a business trip or a move, letting the energy of the Travelling Horse truly take root. With the Eight Seats upon you, stop being falsely modest and hiding your talents. Step up for the positions worth pursuing and show up at the occasions where you should be seen. To counter the mourning attire and hospital visit energy brought by the Hanging Guest, it is advisable to reduce unnecessary funeral occasions and hospital visit trips. If you truly must go, wash your hands with tea and change your clothes before returning home. At the same time, proactively arrange a full health check for the elders in your family, turning passive worry into active care. As for the Heavenly Dog, stay away from high-risk activities such as hiking, rock climbing and diving throughout the year, and for any long-distance trip be sure to buy sufficient travel and accident insurance, resolving potential frights in advance. This year no benefactor stars such as the Month Virtue or the Heavenly Virtue enter your chart, so the real method is to rely on yourself: write your plans out clearly and keep the rhythm in your own hands. The strength of this year is inherently that movement produces results, and you are your own benefactor. As for direction, in the year of the Fire Goat the Jupiter General's sector lies in the Southwest (the Goat mountain, roughly 202.5 to 217.5 degrees). Remember that the Jupiter General should be sat with, not faced. Position your desk, office chair and bed head so that the Southwest is behind you or to your side, and never sit or sleep facing the Southwest directly for long periods. After the Start of Spring, choose a quiet early morning, face the Southwest with a grateful heart and silently pay your respects. If it is your practice, you can also go to a temple to pay respects to the Jupiter General, giving the year's actions a peaceful starting point. As for your native sector, the Southeast, this year the currently reigning wealth star 8 White (Wealth) flies in, making it the most important wealth sector in the whole home. It is ideal for working in, placing a safe or driving important projects here. 8 White belongs to earth, so you can place yellow or brown ornaments or rounded ceramic wealth bowls to activate it. When the earth energy is thick and solid, the wealth star sits more steadily. Keep the pathways here clean and bright, and the joys of earned income and property purchase will be set in motion from this sector.
A zodiac forecast reads only one of the eight characters in your BaZi chart — the year branch — so it gives a general direction, far less precise than analysing the full chart. The year's Tai Sui also interacts with your month, day and hour branches, not just the year: even if your birth year isn't the one clashing or harming Tai Sui, another pillar carrying that branch feels the same influence.
